Eric Phagan Biography

Eric Phagan, a native of Madison, Indiana has studied at the Penland School of Craft in North Carolina and abroad in Paris, France. In 2006 he received his BFA from Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, majoring in ceramics with a minor in art history. He has received numerous awards and showings across the nation and is widely collected. His patrons and public works include, Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis -“Sailor Man”, the City of Madison, Indiana at Lytle Park – “Ties That Bind”, San Angelo Museum of Fine Art Collections, San Angelo, Texas – “Upstream”, and Feats of Clay Collections, Lincoln, California – “Frankenstein”. His publications include, Direct Art Magazine, Fall volumes #16,#17,and #18. Eric’s work can be viewed at his studio/gallery- Gallery 115 in historic Madison, Indiana, and HG galleries in Orlando, Florida. He currently teaches for the Madison Fine Arts Academy, where he has been for the past five years as well as producing work in his studio and showing in both juried group and solo showings across the nation.
